Taxonomy
Liassopsychops sibirica was named by Ponomarenko (1984). Its type specimen is PIN 1669/390, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Iya Locality (PIN collection 1669), which is in a Toarcian lacustrine - small horizon in the Cheremkhovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
