Taxonomy
Proclinopyga ulrichi was named by Sinclair (2010). Its type specimen is CNC DIPTERA/ # 12248, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baltic amber (ZFMK collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
