Taxonomy
Chrysopa martynovae was named by Makarkin (1991). Its type specimen is PIN 254/2825, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Vishnevaya Balka creek, outcrop 4, Stavropol (PIN collection 254), which is in a Miocene lacustrine shale in the Russian Federation.
