Taxonomy
Amorphoscelites sharovi was named by Gratshev and Zherikhin (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/8586, a set of appendages (fore leg), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064, bed 31), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl/siltstone in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Amorphoscelites.
