Anniedarwinia alabamensis
Taxonomy
Anniedarwinia alabamensis was named by Beckemeyer and Engel (2011). Its type specimen is PV2005.7.2.252.1, a forewing (folded forewing pair), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Union Chapel Mine, which is in a Westphalian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale/sandstone in the Pottsville Formation of Alabama. It is the type species of Anniedarwinia.
