Taxonomy
Osnogerarus trecwithiensis was named by Kukalová-Peck and Brauckmann (1992). Its type specimen is MS G 1080, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Quarry at the Piesberg, north of Osnabruck, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial mudstone in Germany.
