Taxonomy
Cantabrala gandli was named by Kukalová-Peck and Brauckmann (1992). Its type specimen is SMF 35377, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Abandoned coal mine west of Lores, which is in a Cantabrian terrestrial mudstone in Spain. It is the type species of Cantabrala.
