Taxonomy
Venablesia colluvium was named by Britton (1960). Its type specimen is BMNH In.49102, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bognor Regis beach, which is in a Ypresian marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
