Taxonomy
Chresmoda neotropica was named by Engel and Heads (2008). Its type specimen is SMNS 66000-13, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (SMNS collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
