Taxonomy
Drepanorzeckia plana was named by Blagoderov (1997). Its type specimen is PIN 1989/3283, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1989, layer 31), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
