Taxonomy
Conotrachelus florissantensis was named by Wickham (1912). Its type specimen is UCM, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
