Polytylites is a genus. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Amphissitinae by Sohn (1954); to Palaeocopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Amphissitidae by Benson et al. (1961), Hoare and Mapes (2000), Chitnarin (2012).
