Testudo cautleyi
Taxonomy
Testudo cautleyi was named by Lydekker (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH R937, a partial shell (the epiplastrals, imperfect posteriorly), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Siwalik Hills, which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene fluvial horizon in the Pinjor Formation of Pakistan.
