Taxonomy
Xenoblatta muetzei was named by Schneider (1978). Its type specimen is FG 213/15, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Waste Heap from Karl-Moritz-Schachte, which is in a Stephanian C lacustrine sandstone/coal in the Wettiner Formation of Germany.
