Actinoblatta bucheti was named by Pruvost (1912). Its type specimen is MGL 1486, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Ostricourt mine, pit 6, which is in a Westphalian B lacustrine shale in France.
It was recombined as Archimylacris bucheti by Schneider (1983).
