Taxonomy
Opsiomylacris elegans was named by Müller (1975). Its type specimen is SW 155/13a,b, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kesselgraben near Friedrichroda, Suhl district, which is in an Asselian fluvial-lacustrine shale in the Goldlauter Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Opsiomylacris (Posteriomylacris) elegans by Müller (1975).
