Dawsonicyon isami
Taxonomy
Dawsonicyon isami was named by Spaulding et al. (2010). Its type specimen is DMNH 19585, a partial skeleton (partial skull, mandibles, and partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bill’s Smilodectes BLM locality, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial mudstone in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Dawsonicyon.
