Geotrupes jiaoyanshanense
Taxonomy
Obitiscarabaeus jiaoyanshanense was named by Hong (1984). Its type specimen is 79114/5, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shanwang, Linqu County, collection 79/80 (Beijing Museum), which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shanwang Formation of China. It is the type species of Obitiscarabaeus.
It was recombined as Geotrupes jiaoyanshanense by Zhang (1989).
