Rainerichthys zangerli

Taxonomy
Rainerichthys zangerli was named by Grogan and Lund (2009). Its type specimen is CM 46097, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection), which is in an Arnsbergian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Rainerichthys.
