Patriarchus palmidens
Taxonomy
Patriarchus palmidens was named by Ameghino (1889). Its type specimen is MACN-A 9651a, a mandible (anterior fragment of mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Río Bote - Estancia Maria Elisa, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.
