Taxonomy
Blattina chrysea was named by Geinitz (1880). It is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
It was recombined as Pterinoblattina chrysea by Scudder (1885), Scudder (1886), Geinitz (1888); it was recombined as Prohemerobius chryseus by Handlirsch (1906), Martynova (1949).
