Taxonomy
Michelinia macerimuris was named by Webb (1990). Its type specimen is OU10679 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West side of Falling Water Creek, which is in a Chesterian deep subtidal shale/dolomite in the Pitkin Formation of Arkansas.
