Taxonomy
Yalkaparidon jonesi was named by Archer et al. (1988). Its type specimen is QM F13009, a mandible (partial right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Last Minute Site, which is in a Serravallian lacustrine limestone in Australia.
