Colbertia magellanica
Taxonomy
Henricosbornia magellanica was named by Price and Paula Couto (1950). Its type specimen is DGM 152-M, a tooth (Left m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Colbertia.
It was recombined as Colbertia magellanica by Paula Couto (1952).
