Praolestes nanus
Taxonomy
Praolestes nanus was named by Matthew et al. (1929). Its type specimen is AMNH 21718, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gashato (AMNH), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Khashat Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Praolestes.
