Taxonomy
Blatta stricklandi was named by Brodie (1845). It is an impression. Its type locality is Dinton, Vale of Wardour, Middle Purbeck, which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Blattidium stricklandi by Heer (1864); it was recombined as Rithma stricklandi by Scudder (1886); it was recombined as Mesoblattina stricklandi by Handlirsch (1906).
