Incamys bolivianus

Taxonomy
Incamys bolivianus was named by Hoffstetter and Lavocat (1970). Its type specimen is SAL 117A, SAL 117B, a skull (anterior portion of the skull, back as far as M3, with associated ramus, including a complete set of upper and lower cheek teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Salla, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in the Salla Formation of Bolivia.

Synonyms
  • Incamys pretiosus was named by Lavocat (1976). Its type specimen is MNHN SAL 162, a partial skull ("portio de tête avec région basale de l'arrière-crâne" (part of head with the basicranium)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Salla, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in the Salla Formation of Bolivia.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Incamys bolivianus by Patterson and Wood (1982).
