Glossotherium tropicorum
Taxonomy
Glossotherium tropicorum was named by Hoffstetter (1952). Its type specimen is MNHN LAR 237 (formerly EPN V. 1230), a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Carolina, which is in a Pleistocene estuary/bay sandstone/tar in Ecuador.
