Maokopia ronaldi
Taxonomy
Maokopia ronaldi was named by Flannery (1992). Its type specimen is AMF83407, a partial skull (partial cranium containing both left and right I1-3 and P3, and left M2-4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kelangurr Cave, which is in a Pleistocene fluvial horizon in Papua New Guinea. It is the type species of Maokopia.
