Tjukuru wellsi

Osteichthyes - Diprotodontia - Macropodidae

Taxonomy
Tjukuru wellsi was named by Prideaux and Tedford (2012). Its type specimen is SAMA P45851 (UCMP 60776), a mandible (partial left subadult dentary preserving all four molars and P3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stirton Quarry, which is in a Zanclean fine channel fill horizon in the Tirari Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Tjukuru.
