Hemicalypterus weiri
Taxonomy
Hemicalypterus weiri was named by Schaeffer (1967). Its type specimen is USNM 23425, a skeleton (Nearly complete skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Little Valley fish locality, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian channel siltstone in the Chinle Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Hemicalypterus.
