Longapertites perforatus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-73-574 (Catatumbo) Loc: 118.9X33 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

Sculpture type: columellae arranged in a distinct, sometimes reticulate to foveolate pattern (diameter of lumina about 3 µ). Grains with clearly perforate tectum. Columellae and their pattern coarser in area opposite the aperture. Thickness of exine about 5.5 µ; ectexine thicker than endexine. |
