Longapertites proxapertitoides reticulatus was named by Van der Hammen and Garcia de Mutis (1966). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-22, Col. S.G.N. (Catat. Ha-457), a plant debris (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D body fossil.
