Chironomaptera gobiensis
Taxonomy
Chironomopsis gobiensis was named by Cockerell (1924). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mt. Uskuk, Ondai Sair (AMNH 3rd expedition), which is in an Aptian lacustrine shale in the Anda-Khuduk Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Chironomaptera gobiensis by Kalugina (1980), Kalugina (1986), Borkent (2014).
