Tuberculatosporites parvus

Tuberculatosporites parvus was named by Archangelsky (1972) [Others samples: Prep. n° 742, coord,, 40.8/114.5; p.m. 707, coord. 28.5/107.6. Others measurement: length, 22-33 µ, width, 14-25 µ. 17-13 specimens. Locality. Wells D-13, D-15, T-134, P-9, P-14.]. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: Prep. LP n° 742; coord. 38.7/120.3. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Spore), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Pozo D-13, which is in an Eocene coastal horizon in the Río Turbio Formation of Argentina.

S. Archangelsky 1972Espora monolete, de contorno subovalado en vista polar, llevando cortas espinas solidas, de base ancha, distalmente romas o agudas, rectas, a veces curvadas. Exina delicada, lisa a finamente escabrada. Lesura aproximadamente 2/3 del largo, a veces de labios algo engrosados. Ocasionales elementos esculturales de tipo verrucoso, junto con los espinosos.
