Taxonomy
Glaphoptera anglica was named by Handlirsch (1906). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sevenhampton, Gloucestershire (Brodie Coll.), which is in a Bathonian marine limestone in the Great Oolite Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Glaphoptera.
