Ironicus nothrus
Taxonomy
Harpalidium nothrus was named by Westwood (1854). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Swanage/Purbeck (DORCM/BMNH) [C. Willcox Collection], which is in a Berriasian fluvial-lacustrine limestone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Ironicus.
It was recombined as Ironicus nothrus by Handlirsch (1906); it was misspelled as Ironicus nothus by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016).
