Taxonomy
Liadoptilia misera was named by Handlirsch (1939). Its type specimen is FGWG 123/79, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany. It is the type species of Liadoptilia.
