Simplodon qianshanensis
Taxonomy
Simplodon qianshanensis was named by Huang and Zheng (2003). Its type specimen is IVPP V 13586, a maxilla (Right upper jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lianhuatang Southeast, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Wanghudun Formation of China. It is the type species of Simplodon.
