Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
E. W. Berry 1929There are great many seeds, both among the Leguminosae and in other families, that resembñe the present type. I believe it to be leguminous, but it presents no differential features that would warrant its reference to any particular existing genus, and it is therefore referred to the form genus Leguminosites. It is nearly circular in profile, 1-5 centimeters in maximum and 1.2 centimeters in minimum diameter, and 5.5 millimeters in maximum thickness. It shows conclusive evidence of deformation from an original lenticular form during fossilization, as may be seen from the cross-section figure.
