Taxonomy
Prioriphora intermedia was named by Brown and Pike (1990). Its type specimen is MCZ 7098, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (MCZ collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada.
It was recombined as Maksika intermedia by Mostovski (1999).
