Taxonomy
Pachygaster antiqua was named by James (1971). Its type specimen is UCMP 13501, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is UCMP B-7041, Balumtun landslide, Simojovel region, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
