Proelectrotermes berendtii
Taxonomy
Termes berendtii was named by Pictet and Hagen (1856). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Calotermes (Proelectrotermes) berendtii by von Rosen (1913); it was recombined as Proelectrotermes berendti by Weidner (1955), Emerson (1969), Nel and Paicheler (1993); it was recombined as Proelectrotermes berendtii by Snyder (1949), Engel et al. (2007), Krishna et al. (2013).
