Paracosmus (Paracosmus) palpalis
Taxonomy
Protophthiria palpalis was named by Cockerell (1914). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Wilson Ranch, Florissant, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large horizon in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Lithocosmus palpalis by Evenhuis (1984); it was recombined as Paracosmus (Paracosmus) palpalis by Evenhuis and Greathead (1999).
