Taxonomy

Nesocyrtosoma was named by Marcuzzi (1976). It is extant.

It was assigned to Coelometopini by Doyen and Poinar (1994); to Coelometopinae by Kirejtshuk et al. (2008); to Stenochiinae by Nabozhenko (2019); and to Cnodalonini by Bousquet et al. (2018), Bouchard et al. (2021).

Synonyms

Hesiodobates was named by Kaszab and Schwaller (1984).

It was synonymized subjectively with Nesocyrtosoma by Doyen and Poinar (1994), Kirejtshuk et al. (2008), Hopp and Ivie (2009), Bousquet et al. (2018), Bouchard et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Tenebrionini by Kaszab and Schwaller (1984).
