Taxonomy
Ctenolepisma (Ctenolepisma) electrans was named by Mendes (1998). Its type specimen is Sturm LEP-1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (H. Sturm coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
