Taxonomy
Hylesinites electrinus was named by Germar (1813). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (Halle collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Hylesinus electrinus by Giebel (1856); it was recombined as Hylurgops electrinus by Schedl (1947), Wood and Bright (1992), Legalov (2015) and Legalov (2019).
