Tafimys powelli
Taxonomy
Tafimys powelli was named by Ortiz et al. (2000). Its type specimen is PVL 4825, a maxilla (Anterior fragment of the skull with incisors and both molars toothrows ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Angostura, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial sandstone in the Tafí del Valle Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Tafimys.
