Taxonomy
Thrissopteroides latus was named by von der Marck (1873). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bauerschaft Bracht, near Sendenhorst, which is in a Campanian carbonate lime mudstone in the Ahlen Formation of Germany.
