Prohirmoneura jurassica
Taxonomy
Prohirmoneura jurassica was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is JME SOS 1801, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Blumenberg quarry, Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Prohirmoneura.
